Charles Drayton House

The unique Charles Drayton House was built between 1883-1886. Formerly the Daniel Heyward House sat on the lot until it was shelled out by Union artillery during the Bombardment of Charleston. The ruins of the Heyward House remained standing for twenty years before the present structure was built.
